Technology is having a great affect on all of our lives. It is also helping movie production when it comes to advertising and planning. Technology is allowing people to watch movie trailers months before the movie is released, which is helping when it comes to sales and opening weekend gross totals. Technology is also allowing people to watch clips of movies after the release and read movie reviews so that sales can become increased over time. More and more people are using social networking and blogs to review movies so that other people can benefit from what they’ve seen. The whole story can be found at http://mosvinbami.com/2013/03/06/i-have-been-sexually-harassed/

The most important thing about technology in conjunction with the movie industry is that it is helping movies to get more money in total. If a person sees a trailer for a movie months in advance of its release, the person is more likely to plan on going to the movies and might already have several people who will be going with them. There are many reasons why technology is benefiting our everyday lives, but it is also benefiting the larger companies and the movie industry because of everyone who is able to learn about movies well in advance to their release date.

Blu Ray technology is derived from the actual Blu-laser that reads/writes information to the digital disc. Blu-Ray discs are also unique in the fact that they can hold up to 50GB of data. This is due to the layers of the disc being double folded to produce more information sectors too write to.

The higher data volume allows for the disc to read more information quicker, which produces higher bitrates quality. Higher bitrates deliver more detailed sound and video to the end user. Also, other beneficial features such as picture-in-picture video, online capabilities and more are available through a Blu-Ray player. Typically, an HDTV is used in conjunction with a Blu-Ray player to provide a crisp, clear picture. An HDTV is able to display the rich colors as well as the detailed pixels via the enhanced bitrates. Alongside, the detailed picture is the rich audio formats that are delivered.

The audio from Blu-Ray players are standard HD audio via Dolby and DTS-Audio. The audio codec produced operate at up to 7.1 audio channels to deliver a dynamic audio effect with optimized surround sound capabilities.
Blu-Ray is reinventing the movie experience; whether a DVD or home theater movie, the Blu-Ray technology allows for a clearer and more detailed cinema picture with an optimal realistic surround sound experience.

This really is going to be an open ended question since there really is two sides of the coin on this argument. Over the years technology has been improved to help with everyday problems. However, the keyword we should focus on is help and not takeover. Solving problems should always be done with humans, and that is one of the biggest reasons why computers have yet to take over the world. Every day in schools we use technology in many ways, but one of the ways they are being used might be controversial to some parents.

There are no two students alike, and as such no one student can be based on a standardized assessment. Using technology to judge and assess students in this manner might help the teachers to get through the mountain of work they need to do, but should they really leave this to technology instead of assessing students themselves? Unless new technology comes about, which takes into account all the difference of students, this area of assessment is still better left to the teachers, in my books. However, I will not be surprised if new technology comes about in the near future to take this workload off their hands.

Every year technology increases making learning and comprehending subjects easier for students. Teachers can use technology to expand the classrooms horizons beyond the typical books and maps that we used in the past while growing up. A student can now get tons of information at their fingertips on any subject in just a few seconds.

1. Expanded Global Learning

Rather than just having pen pals, foreign language students can talk online with other groups of students from the country they are learning about. You get face-to-face online interaction with the foreign students’ language and culture. The full explanation can be found at http://denver.cbslocal.com/2012/05/16/eagle-county-school-district-replaces-foreign-language-teachers-with-computers/

2. Faster Models and Simulations

There are certain experiments you just cannot do in a classroom such as showing how nuclear fission is caused, or why you cannot mix certain chemicals together without getting a bad reaction. Teachers can use these simulations to show processes the happen to quickly, are too large or small to see or are too dangerous to actually perform in a normal classroom setting.

3. Increased Communication between Teachers and Parents

With the ability to have all the students’ information within a few seconds, a teacher can keep a parent informed on any issues going on with a student and their work. Parents can check websites that work with schools to show grades, assignments completed and even cafeteria expenses.

The expansion of technology has offered many benefits to different parts of the home and work life. It has enabled individuals to be more productive and efficient in their activities. Besides just promoting an increase in what is being accomplished, technology also has the ability to promote organizational benefits.

Prior to today, documents at businesses would have to be filed into large cabinets. This method worked, but created chaos when trying to locate a specific document. Many times the files would end up out of order and accidentally misplaced. Today though, with the ability to scan documents straight on to the computer, virtual files can be created on the desk top. This helps the individual find what they are looking for in a significantly faster amount of time.

Along with scanning documents straight onto the desktop, many programs also offer a feature called optical character recognition (OCR). This enables the person to type in a search bar what document they are looking for, and the program will recognize the word as long as it is located on the document stored on the desktop.

With these great programs, paper no longer has to be stored on site. The virtual world will help clean up and reduce the use of paper.

Intuit is a point of sales (POS) system allowing small and large business owners the ability to conduct credit card transactions from anywhere they have a cell phone signal. This innovation is considered to be one of the most significant in most recent times.

The Nook Tablet is yet another tech advancement. An upgrade from the Nook, the Nook Tablet is a complete tablet PC experience; allowing the user the ability to surf the Internet, play games, and download “Apps” from the android store.

Samsung Flexible AMOLED Display is a display specifically designed to address the rigidity of current mobile phones and tablet PCs.Is this new to you? Catch up here This fully transparent display allow users to bend and twist the screens; allowing them to be used on the wrist, or in other places which require contoured use.

The SoC Processors. These system-on-chip processors (SOC) are able to contain graphic card capabilities. Many other functions normally attributed to graphic cards and motherboards will be handled by this on-board chip.

Carbon Compounds are a new and innovative answer to low lasting cell phone batteries. Carbon Compounds will usher in new circuits storing their power themselves. This technology is thought and hoped to be a reality within 2012.
