The Service offers advanced cardiac life support with the American Heart Association and pediatric advanced cardiac life support (PALS) with the American Heart Association. They respond to any rescue operation and also offer transport to homes, doctors' offices or most critical care facilities. They teach CPR classes in the service area. Passengers must call at least 24 hours ahead to schedule a bus ride. Passengers are picked up at their home and dropped off at their destination within the city limits. They are picked up and taken back home as soon as possible. Cost is 50 cents each way. The bus seats 12 passengers and is wheelchair accessible. The transit service is provided by the District III Cooperative. Trash collection for city residents is $24 for three months. Customers are charged quarterly with their water/sewer bill. Businesses are also billed quarterly, but separately from their water/sewer bills. They are allowed to have three to seven 32-gallon containers or a four or six yard dumpster.
